The University of Oxford : The Official Guide
This was a delightful challenge. How to tell people everything they need to know about Oxford University in 40 A5 pages, half of them photos (admittedly gorgeous ones). The difference between colleges and halls (and how many we have of them), which college lets you peep into its medieval library AND has a café you can visit into the bargain, how to climb into the Sheldonian's cupola and who put it there, and how the University's motto changed from The Truth Will Set You Free to the much more cautious Deus Illuminatio Mea. All this and much more is here, published by Oxford University Press for a mere £4.99.
Oxford University is full of surprises. Behind its old stones sharp new minds are at work
